Virtual IO Server backup

I'm having a spot of trouble using the backupios command.

I've tried it to both tape and DVD-R. Any time I issue the backupios
command with the proper switches, it comes back telling me that either
/dev/cd0 or /dev/rmt0 do not exist.

If I do an lsdev I see both those devices and they are only currently
in this lpar. I added them dynamically and ran cfgmgr. I can go into
the oem_setup_env and write/read to tape and cd so the devices are
there and working.

The vio server in question has been patched up to the latest level.

Everything looks like it should work, anyone got any ideas what might
be the source of my trouble?
