Is there anyway using Win XP/IE7 to download about 16 books off this site

before they disappear forever.
There sister sites for AIX 5.1 and AIX
5.2http://publib16.boulder.ibm.com/pseries/en_US/infocenter/base/aix51.htmhttp://publib16.boulder.ibm.com/pseries/en_US/infocenter/base/aix52.htm
have pdf links.
Thanks
Basil
Get from ../aix43.htm all sections containing:
Openbook ...
-
Add
http://publib16.boulder.ibm.com/pseries/en_US/infocenter/base/43_docs/
in front of each section
Example:
http://publib16.boulder.ibm.com/pseries/en_US/infocenter/base/43_docs/aixasync/asycomgd/toc.htm
and run wget
wget -e robots=off -r --retr-symlinks http://.....

Thanks for that idea about wget and the detailed explicit instructions on
how to use it, greatly appreciated.
Got it working okay through my dial up ISP.
On trying to get the first book
http://publib16.boulder.ibm.com/pseries/en_US/infocenter/base/43_docs/aixasync/asycomgd/toc.htm
I started at 9.15am and it was still downloading at 12.34 pm when I pulled
the plug.
At at an average speed of about 4K/s I figured I had downloaded about 40 or
50 MB and heavens knows how much more to go for just one book. There were a
fair few "error404: not found " messages flashing past on the screen, say
5% to 10% of the files being successfully downloaded at a guess. The IBM
file for each book must be massive in their HTML size on the IBM site.
I guess wget is not practical for a dial up ISP connection.
As a matter of interest when one gets to the end of a download, which I
never did, does an option pop up as to where to save the book as there is no
option at the start.
Thanks
Basil
