This sounds like a all too common problem with the FreeBSD system, what
happens is that when the daemons inside FreeBSD discover their enemy (read
windows/linux and the likes) on the system, they will go to direct attack on
hardware components, specifically targeting the part of the harddrive which
contains the enemy. FreeBSD will perform what is commonly known as kamikaze
to eliminate the enemy as a last resort. Naturally this is obviously your
case.. god help you..
Seriously though, you need to make a choice, why all these operating
systems.. schozophrenic ?
Really seriously.. you look to have a hardware issue of some sort. I
strongly suggest you assure the health of your equipment before you do
anything else, your only choice based on your info. And no, there is no
known way FreeBSD can have caused this, although being the "unlucky" system
of discovering the condition of your harddrive.
