But while the first suggestion will get all the dist files, the
second one will not. There are some dist files which have
restricted distribution preventing the from being distributed on CD
and only available from the main distribution site.

And consdering there are 9212 entries in the ports tree [on this
machine anyway - and I have some exclued] and many of these
are different programs which do the same thing, I can't see that
any one user would ever need them all.
