hi

this may be a dumb question (i'm not a perl programmer) but i'll just try:
i used my freebsd 4.9 with system perl for a while and installed some
p5-* modules via the ports tree. then i upgraded the perl version to
perl 5.6.1 and entered "use.perl port". when i now install perl modules
from ports they are put into
"/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1"
instead of
"/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005".
this is perfectly logical. just what happens to programs that use perl
modules that i installed before i switched to perl 5.6.1? do they stop
working? do i have to upgrade all these modules? manually? are there
commands for upgrading these modules?

thanks for help
matthias
