In my opinion, this is the most compelling argument.
For many uses, partitioning the disk is a huge error, without any
benefit, and sooner or later you will be hit by the above. When i
first installed FreeBSD i foolishly followed the advices of
partitioning, and later on it became necessary to reinstall. Note
that most Linux distros put essentially anything (except /boot)
in a single partition. Only when a machine is carefully administred by a
competent sysadm, a good partitioning scheme may be really beneficial.
