Adding Windoze AFTER installing FreeBSD

At this point my laptop (Dell X200) has an unused 7Gb partition with
FreeBSD using the rest of the disk. At this point I need (not want) to
add Windows XP so I can use my cdrom (unable to resolve fwohci0: Could
not map memory problem).

I presume that XP will overwrite the mbr and perhaps part of the FreeBSD
partition.

Any sure way to make this work or do I resign myself to a complete
reinstall, starting with XP?
