RT is one of those SW-packages where you will be very unhappy, if you
don't have a test box to dry-run upgrades.

They claim it runs on FreeBSD and I'm relatively confident that it is a
solid product, too (the core-staff is a lot of ex-SuSE employees).
It might not be as flexible as RT, though.
But it seems to have a lot less p5-dependencies...
Might make installation easier.

Most of the elixus-site is in Mandarin, as the customer-base of elixus
seems to be mostly in Asia ;-)

I wouldn't recommend installing both RT and OTRS on the same windows-PC
at the same time, though. Use a 2nd PC or two VMwares.
Or use FreeBSD and 2 jails :-)))

Whatever you do, if you run the two alongside, pass along some feedback ;-)
