Making a FreeBSD web server

Ok, I've looked around the web, and news groups to try to figure this out.
I'm sure it's been asked before and that I'm just not using verious search
correctly, but here is the question.

I put together a FreeBSD box. Learned how to do such things as, compile a
custom kernal to remove un-needed drivers, and to and a sound card (it's not
going to get much use there, but hay, all for the sake of knowledge. I can
add and remove users, and know the basics of permissions. All well and good
but I still have a ways to go.

In the mean time, I would like to get this thing to do something semi-useful
for thoes times when I don't feel like fighting with it, like I'm doing
right now learning how to get it to be able to print to a network printer (I
know, easy stuff for you all, but I'm a n00b here in BSD) So I want to set
up a web server, for my little home network.

BSD is installed, and I just finished "Make"ing Apache2 and have it
configured. Now I just need to figure out, how to get FTP set up, so I can
work on files on one box (sorry, but it's windows) and upload them to the
BSD box, just like I would do normaly to a remote webserver. BTW no, I'm
not setting up FrontPage Server extensions here, I don't use that program to
make web pages.

Can anybody help me out in how to configure FTP to work. And to get it to
work as if I was connecting to a remote server (one login dumps me into the
"site" another login dumps me into a different "site")?
