Here are the specs of my server
Compaq proliant 1850R
2 Pentium II 405 Mhz processors
1 gig SDMRAM memory
1 2.1 scsi HD
1 9.1 scsi HD
1 9.1 scsi HD
It is running freebsd 4.9 but I would like to take atvantage of the
SMP that is in Release 5.2.1 Here is the error message I get when
trying to install from the cdrom

/stand/sysinstall running as init on vty0
panic: unknown/reserved trap
cpuid = 0;
syncing disk, buffers remaining...37 73

Any chance I can install freebsd on this server or should I just give
up and keep running 4.9?

Thanks
