Probably been dealt with before, maybe even a real simple answer, but
I'll be damned if I can find it.
First up, love it. Great package, much nicer then Veritas and Solstice
DiskSuite. Easy, and stable. Only one minor issue.
When I boot, and yes I have start_vinum="YES" in my rc.conf. However,
for some silly reason, when I boot, the volume is gone, and of course
this cause the system to go into the /bin/sh and try to get me to do an
fsck on the missing volume.
I have a file named /etc/config1.vinum, that I use to recreate the
volume after boot up, and the documents and man pages all talk about the
config file, only thing missing, name and location. Or, how to call it
at boot time.
This is on a Compaq Proliant with 7 disks, 6 used for a single volume.
FreeBSD 5.2.1, Generic.
Any help on where to, or what to call, the vinum config file and how to
get it seen at boot, is greatly appreciated.
