At least you can setup a cron job that periodically checks the page
mentioned above (be careful about their 10minutes - restriction),
extracts the url and runs one of the dyndns-clients that are in the ports.
I doubt that you can teach your 'grey box' to actively notify you about
a changed IP, but most of such boxes have a web interface, perhaps you can
manage to retrieve a page from there that contains the actual IP and
you could poll this at smaller intervals.
