Just out of curiosity, what happens when you add libgl to a working KDE
from a package instead of ports? This looks like something the ports
maintainers need to battle out among themselves.. Something is indeed
conflicting. Have you tried Google for information on how libGL and
XFree interact? Maybe this is a known issue somewhere..

If a package doesn't work, you could always try resorting to compiling
the libGL source yourself and forcing it into place. This will either
miraculously make it work, or it'll screw up your system big time. I'd
say compiling it yourself should be your very last option since it'll
break FreeBSD's package management.
