Hello.

I try to track down a weird SMP problem on my SMP box
and I recognized this today:

Look at interrupt 24, sym0 and the total interrupts. Shortly after this my
computer died the way as I reported many time in this newsgroup or sent as
PR.

In the early today I tried systat and got a weird message: The alternate system clock has died. Reverting to ''pigs'' display.

I never got those errors or 'interesting' things when using UP system, but it occurs and
crashes really often under SMP conditions.

The great question is: is it a hardware failure or is that a software related problem?

This is my mptable output, for your information, if it is suitable.

mptable -dmesg -verbose -grope
