Have you ever used a distributed filesystem?
(AFS, DFS, SMBFS/CFS with standard profiles, NFS with automount maps,
GFS, Oracle's clusterFS, lustre).
What did the distributed filesystem you used fail to provide?
Do any of the other filesystems fail to provide that feature?
Do you have an end goal as to the purpose of your distributed filesystem?

Think about your answers.
