Typically / (small), swap, /usr, /var (small unless you are
running a news spool or something), and /tmp. /home is a link
to /usr/home.

Typically it's own.

Yes. I never had much luck with grub, but it can boot FreeBSD,
and if you had the skills to get it to work with your previous
configuration, you should have few problems.
