upgrading i386/5.3 to gnome2.8 from gnome2.6

just sharing my experiences here...
using freebsd's script and instructions (www.freebsd.org/gnome) i was able
to upgrade to gnome 2.8...
problems included:
i had to re-run xorgconfig (not a big deal), had to reinstall the
proprietary nvidia driver...(not a big deal).
and had to add manually nautilus -2.8.2.tbz or whatever the name was..i
had to actually add it twice before it 'took'.
all looks well though..
i got a few errors and failed packages that i still need to go look at as
well.
the install took about 11 1/2 hours. (system is a 2.4 ghz w/ 512mb ram).
'fetch' took 30s w/ each download b/c it kept first trying ipv6 (see my
earlier post today)..with over 100 packages to download, that adds up a
bit.
props to the fbsd team.
