can anyone send me a linux cd

I've tried several times to download it but each time it never works. I
think that it is because they are all located on ftp server and i can't
download from ftp servers so i was wondering if it wasn't too much
trouble if someone could send me a linux cd. I would like for it to be
a farely new version that supports a pretty wide variety of hardware. I
would also like for it to be able to network through ethernet with my
other computer running windows xp. thank you very much
