ID3 tags in Noatun ??

Hello -

been enjoying KDE 3.3.2, and everything seems to work fine - even KsCD seems
to be able to load titles from CDDB without crashing (as it used to do a
few releases ago).

I remember sometime back that Noatun used to be able to load an ID3 tag from
an MP3 that it was playing at the time. Now it no longer does - though
this is probably not Noatun's fault. When I'm playing an MP3, I click on
the sub-menu for "tag editor" and the resulting window is blank - blanked
out as well, not allowing me to type anything in. Hovering over the icons
doesn't produce ID3 info like it used to, either, so it is probably an
underlying library.

For the heck of it, to make sure it wasn't a compilation-order problem, I
recompiled "taglib", "noatun-plugins", and then "kdemultimedia3" in that
order. No improvement in the ID3 tags, though I have certainly not lost
any other functionality.

Googling around Usenet has produced some similar posts, though the only one
with any clear replies had to do with recompiling the relevant ports (which
I've done, seems to me). Anyone know of something that I'm missing?

Thanks for the intelligence,
YC
