Help gimp-print

Ive tried to install this print driver package and failed. I have CUPS
installed and want to use gimp-print to get print drivers.

instructions tell me run ./configure --with-cups followed by make and
make install.

in ports/print/gimp-print there is no configure script /command

I downloaded gimp-print and uncompressed it. then ran ./configure
--with-cups
and got ./configure: Permission denied .

I'm clearly up a gum tree somewhere .

any help appreciated .
