    Pardon my denseness, but are you suggesting umounting /usr, then mounting
    /hd as /usr ?

    Or, are you suggesting mounting /hd as /usr/hd or what ?

    After your mounting suggestion is implemented, how then do you recommend
    installing OpenOffice ?
