You should really ask this company to qualify and detail their
statement. It is difficult ("impossible") for anyone else to know what
they are thinking of with such a broad statement.

Well, get some. search for "freebsd load balancing" on Google for example.

The theoretical possibilities are many. Perhaps theu are comparing
apples to oranges by using a open source solution on Linux, and
dedicated hardware for FreeBSD? Who knows?
(If so, why don't they use an open source solution for FreeBSD as well?)
