The primary reason that I prefer a work-around rather than get the
latest 5.4 release (which I will eventually) is that most recent
releases of Linux that I have tried have this problem. The hope that it
will be rectified in FreeBSD 5.4 is rather slim.

So in the mean time I would like to try and start using 5.0, well
at-least until I get my hands on 5.4
