A domain (any domain) should _always_ have (at least) two _separate_
domain name servers serving the domain.
Separate means the following (in this context):
a) on separate physical networks (network connection, power, ups,
those physical things
b) on separate logical networks (ip subnets, that sort of thing)
For more information, get a book / Google about dns.

Oh yeah, just in case anyone wanders past and overhear this; domain name
servers needs to be on fixed (static) ip adresses.
