Hi Keve,
I've been working on a similar issue in recent weeks to do mass-cloning
of workstations with a variety of hardware configurations. I wrote a
script to automatically duplicate a system disk using as similar a
layout to the original as possible, given different size disks. It is
still experimental, and has only been tested on the default layout
(whole disk for BSD with partitions for /, /var, /tmp, and /usr).
You'll need to examine it closely and edit it for your own purposes if
you have any thoughts about using it directly. Otherwise, it should at
least answer your questions about bsdlabel.
You can download the script from
http://www.neuro.mcw.edu/~bacon/Progs/clone.
Good luck,
Jason
