Sorry, guy, but on my machine Flash works under firefox, with
FreeBSD-5.4. I have hard time understanding why it doesn't for you.
Yes, it is slightly non trivial, you have to edit the shell script
/usr/X11R6/bin/firefox to preload the pluginwrapper.
If there is something problematic with FreeBSD it is Java, but certainly not
something as stupid and useless as Flash.
