I think I am probably much closer to sharing your cosmology than DJB's.
Playing well with others is a virtue, not a vice. Being able to disagree
in a civil manner is important, and DJB's personal style is like sand
in the soap.
I've just found qmail to be very simple to own and operate. In the
FreeBSD world, the current port applies all the necessary patches,
including the one addressing the coding error in qmail-local.
Having spent countless hours pondering sendmail.cf's and digging in
m4 macros, I'm much happier now.
