It is most probably because around 99.8% of "home" system owners do not
exercise any regular full-backup and full-restore procedures.
And I guess around 99.9% knew that!

The idea you mentioned is not bad though! :-)
Still, I'd like to know what kind of full-backup and restore facility
you have which is capable of restoring an entire system on a brand new
unpartitioned disk.
