Wow, I've been using vinum and gvinum since 2000 for mirroring. What
makes gvinum "crapware" exactly? I had one disk fail and did not lose
any data.

I'd like to hear more opinions about these options. Are there
evaluations floating around that we can read? I am about to go from a
mirrored setup to mirrored+striped, so now would be a good time weigh
options.
