I used vinum on 4.x and gvinum on 5.3-4 and 6.0. If I recall correctly
-- and I may not be -- I had to create things on 5.x with vinum, but
then run gvinum. The whole thing continues to work after the the
upgrade from source to 6.0. The documentation is certainly a problem.
Also, if there are experts around, they don't reply to questions in
this newsgroup very often. Nonetheless, gvinum saved my data once,
earning my eternal gratitude to the developers.
Does anyone have much experience with the gmirror and gstripe tools?
