Hi
I did "bzcat /var/log/auth.log.0.bz2" and there was my auth.log.
I found nothing suspicios there. I has logged till 30 00:00:00
and the last line was:
Dec 30 00:00:00 myname newsyslog[24055]: logfile turned over due to size>100K
and now my /var/log/auth.log is back, my old logs are back there.
Did bzcat do the trick ?
