NDIS and WPA

Would I be correct in thinking that if I have to use ndis to get my
wireless card to work then I can kiss wpa encryption goodbye?
I essentially found a link containing the following:
---
ndis(4) doesn't support the features required for wpa_supplicant to
work.
---
Is this correct? Sorry for the question but I'm getting conflicting
answers from the web.
This is on 6.0.
Many thanks.
Jim
