I have a Adaptec 29160 card and 2 x 36GB Quntum SCSI hard disks, and a
8GB Quntum hard disk. I have them plugged onto a SCSI cable. But the
Adaptec card is only able to recognise one 36GB Quantum hard disk. I
have done other test, where only plugged 2 x 36GB disks onto the cable,
the Adaptec card recognise it correctly; another test is only plug a 8GB
quntum disk and a 36GB disk onto the cable, Adaptec card also recognise
it correctly.
I wonder whether I should use same brand/model and same size disks in
order to work with a Adaptec card. I don't have the third 36GB SCSI hard
disk, so I m not able to verify my thought.
