I wonder if these guys actually _test_ their products thoroughly.
At the (very) large consumer electronics company I currently pimp^Wcontract
for, there are some pretty stringent release criteria which would cause an
issue like this never to be allowed to leave the factory. Which is not
saying, of course, that the company is infallible or that no mistakes are
made. This mistake of D-Link's is pretty blatant though. Especially since
it's been made in the past, and the relevant protocol has had new features
specified to prevent it from happening again.
History has a way of repeating itself. :-)
