Re: Do wide-screen monitors work with X under FreeBSD 6.x?
In article <e2geub$o7m$1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, I wrote:
Am I likely to have any trouble using a 1680x1050 monitor such as the
ViewSonic VX2025wm? I ask because in the past I was not able to use
the full screen on wide-screen laptops. The video card is a GeForce
6200 TurboCache.
Mostly because of the price I bought a Philips 200W6CS. It's a 20"
1680x1050 monitor. Xorg doesn't have a mode line to match it but I found
one on the web easily enough:
Modeline "1680x1050" 147.14 1680 1784 1968 2256 1050 1051 1054 1087
I'm quite pleased with it. You can easily fit three xterms side by side.
