Network problem

I have a problem that is difficult to diagnose. For me, anyhow. I installed
FreeBSD 6.1 on an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe-based system; and, though I have
Internet connectivity, as you see, I apparently cannot start apache22 or
CUPS. I suspect that the sk0 driver is not really a good match to the Yukon
Gigabit network adapter, but am open to persuasion. (In that case, perhaps
I should use a conventional pci-card Ethernet adapter?) I installed CUPS
and Apache, and made sure they were started in /etc/rc.conf.
My Officejet printer is recognized (ulpt0). I might be able to do without
Apache, which I rarely use, but occasional printing is almost essential.
(In other words, if I could print, I probably wouldn't have posted this
message.)
With Apache we get the following:
dhcppc2# cd /usr/local/sbin
dhcppc2# ./apachectl restart
httpd: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for dhcppc2.hevanet.com
httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain
name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
httpd not running, trying to start
[Mon Oct 30 15:16:33 2006] [warn] (2)No such file or directory: Failed to
enable the 'httpready' Accept Filter
And cupsd exits with status 2!
And the relevant portions of dmesg are reproduced below. What should I do?
Setting hostname: dhcppc2.hevanet.com.
