can't install; no dump device defined - solved

I booted up my trusty UBCD and checked all my RAM, then ran
memtest as well. Everything looked fine, but I knew the problem still
existed. In the end I removed both suspect DIMMs from slots 1&2 and
put a spare 256 in slot 3, suspecting an on-board niggle somewhere.
Viola! Problem solved :)
