I've attended what was supposed to be a lecture by that guy, but I ended
up walking away in disgust. He is clearly good at saying things suck,
but doesn't appear to have other virtues.


I don't know him at all, but from what i have read, his findings in
these papers were correct. I have never read strong refutations of these
claims. Moreover the NetBSD people have taken them seriously and have
hacked their system to behave more correctly in the tests, with good
results at the end. Also note he is a very competent programmer, and
the author of diet_libc.
