Same here, running 6.2 (August STABLE release) on a rather old Dell 600SC
(i386 version). I doubt this is an hardware issue since the same box never
crashed with FreeBSD-4.11. For curiosity, do you have ipfilter installed?
No.
Only ipfw.
This is my kernel config:
include GENERIC
ident amd64
options KDB
options DDB
options QUOTA
options IPFIREWALL
options IPFIREWALL_DEFAULT_TO_ACCEPT
options IPFIREWALL_VERBOSE
options IPFIREWALL_VERBOSE_LIMIT=200
options IPDIVERT
options IPFIREWALL_FORWARD
options DUMMYNET
options HZ=2000 # For dummynet to work properly
We suffered another crash this morning, this time it was a Fatal trap 9: general protection fault while in kernel mode
instruction pointed: 0x0:0xfffffffff80634388
current process = 35 (agedaemon)
stopped at: pmap_ts_referenced:0xa0: pop
Extremely frustrating.... FreeBSD had been sto stable until recently on this machine
