Hi
I'm trying to find a good platform for FreeBSD 7.0 based web and
database servers.
FreeBSD certified hardware listed at
http://www.freebsd.org/commercial/hardware.html
are not available in my area, so I obliged to choose the mid-level
solutions from Dell, HP and IBM.
I would be happy if someone will give me some feedback about his
experience installing FreeBSD on any of Dell, HP or IBM servers.
I know that my question is quite broad: my aim is to investigate the
level of FreeBSD compatibility with each of three major brands
available in my region.
Thanks,
Eugen
I've installed FreeBSD on Dell, HP and IBM machines. All worked well. I
can't tell you that I built servers with high loads but everything I did
build worked well with what we did with them.
