Yes, this should be possible with a grub floppy.

Yes. I don't know/never tried a logical partition (which will work with
Linux).

Everyone from Sun MicroSystems, SGI, IBM, Apple which I just mentioned, and so many others run a version of Unix or Linux, but they don't run Windows. ...
