It is nothing of this sort. The problem is that Linux is here, and

So, when you pay for a cup of coffee, do you refer to the
price of the coffee as a "coffee tax?" And how to you
respond to demands to work for free?
The big
problem of FreeBSD is that Linux has a better performing kernel, far
more stable, supports much more hardware, and userland is infinitely
easier to upgarde.
I believe that user land is easier to upgrade - Linux is
Unix for Windows users and that's where the bulk of the work
has gone. On the rest, proof by repeated assertion doesn't
really work. So far the complaints have been both broad and
vague and lead me to believe that the complainers don't have
the background to either describe the problems they're
encountering ("It crashes!" is not a description) or to
capture the output from the problem in question.
If you want to know how to redirect and capture error
output, the basics of how to deal with a kernel panic, or
whatever, just ask. Expecting vague, unspecific and
low-tech rants to be treated as if they're the Lions
Commentary seems unreasonable to me, as does demanding that
other people write the operating system that *you* want
without being compensated for it.
