Re: So when was the change that broke umass introduced?

In our last episode, <49d8e7e5@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, the lovely and
talented Erik Trulsson broadcast on comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc:

I'm getting a lot of red herrings. The question I posed is since umass

introduced? Or in other words, how far back do I have to downgrade to
get a umass that works?

Nobody except you can answer that. You see, for most people umass works
just fine now and is not broken as far as they are concerned.

Somewhere along the line some change (which need not have been a change to
umass itself, but might have been a change in some other component)
apparently made it stop working on your particular hardware. Unless somebody
else has exactly the same hardware setup as you do it is impossible for that
person to tell which version(s) will or will not work with your hardware.
