I've never tried on NetBSD (my NetBSD box never ran Linux), but I
changed my main system from Linux to FreeBSD. Maple/Linux starts up much
faster than at university on double as fast machines. Directory hashes
are really a nice "trick".
The only Linux program I use on my NetBSD box is f-prot - for deciding
whether a received file is a virus, a trojan or other malware (dialer
for example - most dialers can be identified by something like grep
RasDialA dialer.exe). In the latter two cases I write a complaint, if
it's a virus, I don't since it's hopeless anyway. And I must say this
f-prot is running stable.
However, I noticed that statically linked Linux binaries don't work.
