    I am surprised too, mounting a memory filesystem (MFS) using /var/run
    as mountpoint should *not* be a problem. Most people uses /tmp as
    a mounting point for a MFS.

    To make sure I was not in a mistake I removed /var/run from
    critical_filesystems_beforenet (in /etc/rc.conf)... same result.
    It looks like NetBSD is unable to umount a MFS mounted in /var/run.
