Hello
I want to play around with some old hardware. I found an old Notebook
in our garage.
486sx, 4MB ram, 170 MB harddisk and a floppy drive.
Important : The Notebook does not have a cdrom or Netcard, so the
installation will be tricky.
1. Which NetBSD version fits to this old hardware. I thought that the
newest (1.6.1) is to overbloated for the tiny harddisk. I also want to
install X on it.
2. How can I make the installation. I think about disksets (how do I
create them ?)
An installation over the serial port would be also possible. I own a
Nullmodem cable.
Please, If you know a solution for the installation, give me an exact
description of each step.
3. Will X run on it ??? (with a minimal WM and a large swapfile)
Greetings Karim
