Hi, I'm having a real *** of a time trying to do an FTP install of
NetBSD 1.6.1 on my i386.

I have everything configured nicely; partitions, disks, the whole lot. But
when I try to do an FTP install (which I need to do, since it's an old
machine) it says:

Status: Failed: Command Failed
Command: /usr/bin/ftp -a
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NedBSD/NetBSD-1.6.1/i386/binary
Press any key to continue.
FTP: No address associated with hostname.
FTP: Can't connect or login to host ftp.netbsd.org

My computer has no host name yet. My ISP requires no domain name
(whatever.isp.org). I cannot for the life of me get it to connect. My
router is not the issue, since I tested a FreeBSD install and it worked just
fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Colin
