I have just acquired some K-Class HP9000 servers, all pretty much
kitted out to the max. Being more familiar with BSD (mainly FreeBSD)
than HP-UX, I wanted to replace what's already installed with a fresh
NetBSD installation.
However, it looks like the only useful port is HP700, which isn't
quite there yet. At least the web page describes it as a work in
progress, and makes no claim to even support the K370/898 machine.
Has anybody else been able to successfully install NetBSD on an
800-series HP 9000, and if so, do you think (being honest and
impartial!) that replacing the existing HP-UX OS is justified?
