I have a machine with a "Soundblaster compatible" audio system from
Silicon Integrated Systems that is picked up as "not configured" in
the device probe phase of the boot process at pci0 dev 2 function 7.
Other bits of SIS kit are configured and appear to work fine.
Does anyone know whether this is just a matter of getting the right
line in a kernel configuration file, or whether there is no suitable
driver? My experience of configuring kernels is largely confined to
un-commenting and commenting out lines as appropriate, so I'm a bit of
a fraud really....
