Hi all, i got myself a Digital 3200 dual p2 266Mhz server
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/legacysupport/digital/svr_3100_abstract.html
##It has an Mylex Raid controller##
DAC960P/PD Fireware Version 3.50-0-27
DAC960 Memory = 4 Megabytes (EDRAM)
For some kind of reason the machine seems to hate me.
OpenBSD 3.5 / Current / Current-SMP > Hangs
NetBSD 1.6.2 -> Crashes to db (See log)
FreeBSD 4.5 -> Installs fine then hangs after install.
Linux (Fedora2) -> Hangs when booting cd/floppy
Linux (Redhat9) -> Hangs when booting cd/floppy
WinXP -> After about 4 <!> hours installing (yuch) it *works* :(
Here is the console output log from my NetBSD attempt.
http://www.dmrt.net/netbsd.txt
Things i did:
Flashed the Server's firware to the latest version.
Flashed the Raid controller to the latest version.
Rebuild a fresh Raid 0 / 1 / 5 config
I all the system diagnoses (raid / server & memory)
Googled the web for this problem.
Cried like a baby
I hope someone could kick me in the right direction.
Thanks
-Bas
